The riding is superb. Daily rides deep into the wilderness explore timbered canyons and high mountain passes up to 11,000 feet. You’ll see elk, deer, moose and even an occasional bear. Great fishing is a 10 minute walk below camp in Bear Creek.
With no more than 8 guests, the camp is very comfortable. Hearty mountain cooking is prepared at the cook tent and enjoyed in the adjoining dining tent or around the campfire. Sleep in the roomy guest tents supplied with a wood burning stove for heat, and cots and pads, or grab your sleeping bag and sleep under the stars.
This is the perfect way to enjoy the back country wilderness without the hardships of backpacking. Book this wilderness camp trip separately, or add it onto a 6 night guest ranch experience at the Lazy L&B Ranch.
Bear Basin Wilderness Camp operates under a special use permit on
the Shoshone National Forest and is an equal opportunity service provider.
